New Directions - What Our Nurses Say

"I have worked as a travel nurse with New Directions since 2001 and truly appreciate their personal service. Although I have been to a variety of hospitals and locations, I always feel they have genuine concern for my personal and professional interests and treat me as part of their family. I have dealt with the same recruiter since I joined them and she is always delightful and professional.

Although most of my nursing assignments have been in the Southeast, I was able to travel to Alaska and combine great sightseeing with a good nursing experience. I would recommend New Directions to anyone interested in traveling who wants a fair and honest experience."

"Like many travel nurses I have worked for several companies over the years. After working for New Directions in 2007 I accepted an assignment with a different firm. I found that they were not as flexible or supportive as New Directions. My recruiter Beth is always willing to spend time with me and your staff has helped out with housing issues with no hesitation. When I need something you are always there. You have an awesome group and I feel like part of your family."

"I have thought about being a traveling nurse for several years. I didn't know anyone that traveled or anything about the field. When I became burnt out on where I was working; I needed a change.

Several recruiters had been calling me. I listened and took many notes. My recruiter at New Directions contacted me. He was very patient in spending time with me and answering my questions. I was unsure if I should do this while my Mother was living with me. So my recruiter mentioned a position that was fairly close to home.

It would mean a 60 minute drive one way to work. I knew if I didn't like working with them I could leave after the end of the contract. My recruiter gave me his personal phone number so that I could call him if I had any questions or concerns. He told me he didn't want me to be starting my first contract and not have a support person to talk to with.

I knew he was going to be out of town on a trip. I thought that was one of the nicest things someone could do. I felt so comfortable in starting this new venture. It was the best decision I ever made in my life.

I have enjoyed this assignment so well that I have been on my first assignment for a year now. New Directions has been a wonderful and supporting company to be affiliated with. I just wish I would have done this many years ago."
